Walking Tacos

recipe-entreeLast week, I was trying to come up with a meal that would feed a group of girls, that all of them would enjoy, and that would allow for the various food allergies among them. I remembered that the cheerleaders at my school had fixed walking tacos for ball games in the past, and I had my meal. These are so easy to make, and you don’t even need plates! Everything goes right into individual serving chip bags. You could, however, set this up as a taco bar with actual plates, but I think tween girls will have much more fun eating right out of the chip bag.

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef

2 T taco seasoning

½ cup water

Individual serving bags of chips, such as Doritos or Fritos

Toppings, such as sour cream, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, lettuce, salsa, sliced black olives, green onions

Directions:

In a skillet set over medium high heat, brown ground beef. Drain most of the fat from the beef. Add the taco seasoning and water, and stir to combine. Simmer about 10 minutes until slightly thickened.

Open chip bag and crush chips slightly. Add taco seasoned meat and desired toppings to the bag with the chips. Mix and enjoy!
