Pi Day

Really 300xSo, another Pi day has come and gone as the Earth spins its magnificent circle. 3.14, the perfect number. In the kingdom of geeks, it exceeds even the Fibonacci sequence, and its celebration rivals the release of Hobbits, LOTR, and any Star Wars film which doesn’t include Jar Jar. It clearly exceeds those that do include Jar Jar as well as the Green Lantern fiasco which turned out to be a colossal failure, inducing fits of nerdy rage which led to hundreds of broken inhalers and the origin of pocket protector Frisbee, which is certainly a silver lining.

As if the universe was attempting to show off, March the 14th is also Albert Einstein’s birthday. “Boom! Take that, puny humans,” she said, slamming a mathematically impaired person as she holds them with her giant green hands. “Circle the wagons,” she cries. “Guard the circumference. Protect the area. It’s time to computate!”
