BETTYE J. MURPHY, age 85, of New Market, TN passed away Monday, March 30, 2015. Preceded in death by husband, Alvin E. Murphy; and infant daughter, Rebecca Murphy. She was of the Methodist faith, and was a loving mother, grandmother and faithful Volunteer fan. Survived by sons, Ed Murphy (Linda), and Stanley Murphy; grandchildren, Justin, Alicia, Rebecca, Stanley II, and Shane; great-grandchildren, Oscar, and Baby Brooklyn; brother and sisters, Lillian Hart, Bill Bull (Shirley) and Ella Mae Fox (William); brothers-in-law, Clifford Murphy (Juanita), Reed Murphy (Lois), and Van Murphy (Wanda); several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2015 at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Darris Doyle officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made the New Market Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 118, New Market, TN 37820.
