BERNIECE MARIE THOMAS, age 80, of Rutledge, TN passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Thomas; parents, Nealius and Velva Dalton; brothers, Claude, Carson, Bill, Paul, Kermit and Ray Dalton; sisters, Katherine Garland, Mary Ruth Dalton, and infant sister. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Tim West of Rutledge, and Paula and Chuck Cobb of Morristown; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Kelly Thomas of Rutledge; grandchildren, Chad West, Laura and Preston Cobb, Anna Marie and Emily Thomas, and Seth Runyon; great-granddaughter, Adaleigh Walker; brothers, Coy (Earlene) Dalton and Wayne (Inez) Dalton; sisters, Edna (Delmer) Welch, Jeanette (Elmer) Owens, Eloria (Joe) McAnally, L. C. (John) Shortridge, and Doris Diamond; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday morning, April 1, 2015 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Gideons International.
