ALLAN J. REECE, SR.
ALLAN J. (CHICKEN MAN) REECE, SR., age 66, of Jefferson City, TN passed away suddenly at 3:20 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was formerly a miner for 18 years at New Jersey Zinc Mine, an employee of Ralph’s Lawn and Garden for five years, and currently a service technician with Outdoor Power and Equipment for the past 14 years. Preceded in death by parents, Clarence and Mary Ruth Reece; and brother, Lynn Reece. Survived by loving wife of 48 years, Emma Taylor Reece; children, Allan James (A.J.) Reece, Jr. (Amy), Byllie Jo Southerland (Kevin), Carroll Jay (Cooter) Reece and fiancé Dana Seal; Dell Jason, (D.J.) Reece (Sheryll); and several “adopted” children; grandchildren; Nisa, Nick, Sarah, Pvt. Tyler, Markcus and Brittany; brother, Randall Reece (Sherri); sister, Winnona Reece and her longtime friend, Jeff Nance; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, chicken friends, Hardee’s Drinking Club, and extended family. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2015 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Devotie officiating. Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 prior to the funeral service. Family and friends with gather at10:00 a.m. Saturday morning at the funeral home to proceed to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
