United States Senator Bob Corker stopped by the Historic Jefferson County Courthouse in Dandridge on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 to meet and greet with the public and local dignitaries. The event was hosted by the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce and Chamber Director Helton introduced Senator Corker to the crowd. The Senator fielded questions from constituents on a wide variety of topics of national interest, including foreign affairs and transportation. When asked if he plans to make a bid for the Republican nomination for the White House, the Senator from Tennessee denied any plans in that direction.

Senator Corker serves as the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, as well as a member of the Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs and the Special Committee on Aging. He is serving his second term representing the people of Tennessee in the United States Senate and is considered to be strong negotiator that works with both sides of the political aisle.
