JAMES T. McCARTER, age 80, of Dandridge, TN passed away Saturday evening, April 4, 2015. He was the son of the late James P. and Charlotte (Anderson) McCarter. Preceded in death by his wife, Gloria McCarter; sister, Mary Alice Foster and brother-in-law, Ray Foster. He was a construction superintendent for Wood Bros. Construction Co. of Knoxville for 50 years and was veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his sons, Thomas McCarter and James (Erika) McCarter; daughter, Wanda (Joseph) Monk; grandchildren, Trystan Beach, Russell Chancey, Luke, Jake and Kimberly Ramsey and Daniel Morgan; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jack (Carolyn) McCarter and Gary (Mickie) McCarter; sister, Ann (George) Wright; special friends, Jackie Brooks and Summer Seals.

Funeral services Tuesday, April 7, 2015, 7:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack McCarter officiating. Interment graveside services, Wednesday, 11:00am at Dandridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00pm prior to services at FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, DANDRIDGE
