EDWARD A. COLLINS, JR., age 90, of Jefferson City, TN passed away April 5, 2015. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA, and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jefferson City. He was a World War II and Korean War veteran, having served in the U. S. Navy with the rank of ETC. After his naval career he was a member of the Coast Guard Reserves. Preceded in death by wife, June Lee Collins. He is survived by his daughter, Karin Collins and husband, Wes Johnson; grandchildren, Madeline, Lily, Grace, Abby and Hannah; step-children, Edwin L. Boyd (Shirley) and Yvonne Boyd; sister, Gloria Stombaugh. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Patrick Resen officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Graveside interment service will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VFW Post #5266, c/o Curtis Hudson, 2134 Teardrop Circle, Dandridge, TN 37725.
