CURTIS S. MOYERS, age 84, of Jefferson City, TN passed away suddenly at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He attended Tabernacle of Prayer and Praise Church of God. Retired from the U. S. Army with 30 years of service, 10 of which were with Special Services as the driver of various generals, including General Dwight D. Eisenhower. Curtis was a good and kind man who was a joy and pleasure to be around. Preceded in death by his first wife, Gabriele Moyers; step-son, Roy Lynn Davis. Survived by his loving wife, Marlene Davis Moyers; step-son, Kermit (Fara) Davis of Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Betty (Frank) Finchen of Kentucky; special sister-in-law, Arlene Newman; special cousin, Reaux (Kelly) Hill of Jefferson City; several other cousins, relatives and friends. Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Tabernacle of Prayer and Praise Church of God with Rev. Dwight and Bertie Hensley officiating. Burial to follow at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery.
