DALLAS LON FRANKLIN

DALLAS LON FRANKLIN, age 76, of Uniontown, KY died Thursday, May 21, 2015 at his home. He retired from Peabody Camp 9 Mine and was a UMW member. He was a US Army veteran and was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Uniontown and a 4th Degree KC. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Franklin in 1990; parents, Kenneth and Reba Franklin; and brother, Robert Franklin. Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Franklin of Uniontown, KY; daughters, Connie Renfrow and husband Wesley of Hartford, KY, Pamela and husband William Buchanan of Morganfield, KY; step-daughter, LaDonna French and husband Darrell of Morganfield, KY; step-sons, Dennis Ray Dye of Morganfield, KY, Samuel Dye of Morganfield, KY, Ronnie Dye of Lewisport, KY; brother, Roy Cate of White Pine, TN; sister, Lois McCoig of Dandridge, TN; sister-in-law, Myrtle Franklin of New Market, TN; and thirteen grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Uniontown with Father. Randy Howard officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield with prayers beginning at 6:00 p.m. Friday. Family will also receive friends Sunday morning, May 24, 2015 from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m. at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City, followed by a funeral procession to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service conducted by Rev. Darrell Chambers.
