GLEN “BEAR” MOORE

Glen William (Bear) Moore age 69, passed away Thursday, May 21st 2015, at Tennova Hospital in Knoxville, TN.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents; Bertha Tolley Moore and Steve Moore and two infant sisters and his friend Carlie Coffey. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rose Marie Moore. Four sisters; Carolyn Angel (Jerry) of Weaverville, NC, Grace Varnum (Garland) of Lithia, FL, Sara Jean Williams (Ralph) of Lake Wales, FL, Mary Ruth Nelson (Larry) of Daytona Beach, Fl. Three brothers; Stevie Moore (JoAnn) of Weaverville, NC, Ted Moore of Hot Springs, NC and Roy Moore (Wanda) of Danwiddie, VA, five nephews, six nieces and numerous great nieces and nephews and all his buddies at A.J.’s. Glen was a son, then a brother, a Vietnam Veteran and a husband. First and foremost Glen was always his mama’s baby boy. By trade, Glen was a builder and a welder. But his first love and biggest pleasures were camping, fishing and growing flowers. After he was struck by cancer his greatest pleasure was sitting on his porch, watching and feeding birds and looking at his flower garden. Glen’s most peaceful hours were spent on his porch. Although Glen (Bear) fought many battles in Vietnam he fought his biggest battle with cancer, and he fought this fight long and hard without complaint. His sister Carolyn Angel was at his side every step of the way, (again without complaint), for over a year.

Glen was a truly loving big brother (especially by his four sisters), and will be greatly missed.
