JCHS & Patriot Academy Closed On Thursday

Jefferson County High School and the Patriot Academy will be closed on Thursday, October 15, 2015 due to communication lines that were downed during construction on the main campus. According to the Department of Education, the decision was made to close Jefferson County High School proper due to safety concerns regarding the lack of communication. Subsequently, the Patriot Academy was closed because of scheduling. An emergency work order has been placed with the service provider and the Department of Education has hopes that the service will be restored to JCHS proper on Thursday, which would allow school to be in session as usual on Friday.
