TOWN OF DANDRIDGE

2014 HOME HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAM

The Town of Dandridge was awarded a 2014 HOME grant in the amount of $500,000 for a Housing Rehabilitation Program to provide technical and financial assistance to low income residents.  The funds received under the HOME grant will be used to address single-family owner-occupied substandard housing inside the corporate town limits of Dandridge.  Dandridge’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved the Program Policies and Procedures in its October 13^th meeting.

The town will hold a public meeting in the Training Room of the Public Works Building (267 W Highway 25/70, Dandridge, TN 37725) on Tuesday, November 10^th at 4:00 P.M. to provide information to interested residents regarding the HOME Program eligibility requirements.  Applications will be available for pick up at the Town Administrator’s office, located at 131 E. Main Street, Dandridge, TN37725 and should be brought to the public meeting completed with all required documentation.  Assistance with completing the application will be provided at the public meeting to those who may have questions regarding application responses, process and their participation in the program.  The adopted Program Policies and Procedures will be reviewed and residents will have an opportunity to ask questions about the Town’s 2014 HOME Program.

All applications submitted after November 10^th must be completed fully with required documentation attached i.e. 2015 tax return, copy of payroll check, copy of warranty deed with book and page number of recording, copies of Social Security, SSI or other assistance checks, copies of current utilities bill, and property tax receipts.  Applications should be returned to Ms. Melissa Peagler, Town Administrator by Tuesday, November 24^th 2015, at the close of business.

As funds are limited, failure to attend the public meeting and meet the application deadline may result in the delay or even the loss of opportunity to participate in the 2014 HOME Program.
