Hearthstone, Inc. Expanding in Cocke County
Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd along with Hearthstone, Inc. officials announced today the company will invest $3.9 million to expand operations at its Newport facility. The custom log and timber homes manufacturer will create 38 new jobs in Cocke County.
“I want to thank Hearthstone for choosing to reinvest in Cocke County,” Boyd said. “It is so important for us to work with companies like Hearthstone to make sure that they have continued success in our state. I want to congratulate Hearthstone on this expansion and appreciate the jobs they are creating in East Tennessee.”
Through this investment, Hearthstone will be able to install new machinery and create and develop new products. The company will also be able to reopen its sawmill and timbering operations.
Hearthstone specializes in building and manufacturing log and timber frame homes. The company has been manufacturing homes for over 40 years and has been a pioneer in CAD/CAM timber cutting production in the United States since 1997.
Hearthstone will be hiring to fill these positions next year. Those interested can apply in person starting in June 2016 at 1630 E. Hwy 25-70, Dandridge, TN.
Newport and Cocke County are represented by Sen. Steve Southerland (R – Morristown) and Rep. Jeremy Faison (R – Cosby) in the in the Tennessee General Assembly.
