Santa Stops By
The Town of Dandridge welcomed a special visitor on Thursday, December 3, 2015, as Santa Claus came to the Historic Town Square. His visit was in conjunction with the annual lighting of the Town Christmas tree on the Courthouse steps. Students from Dandridge Elementary School added their voices to the event and the Dandridge Ministerial Association served as host. Cosmo Boutique provided pictures with Santa. Along with the lighting of the tree and the visit from Santa, several businesses held their open houses for the Holiday season. For those that were looking for a little snack, Santa’s better half, Mrs. Claus, was on hand at the Cafe’ on Main to share cookies with those that stopped by for a visit. The next event in the Town will be a Christmas to Remember with carriage rides sponsored by the Town, as well as shopping, caroling and tasty treats. Participating businesses will have extended shopping hours that night. On Sunday December 13th,the shoppes at the corner of Gay and Main Street in Dandridge will host the Twelfth Day of Christmas. Several vendors will be on hand with a variety of shopping opportunities, as well as food and a special artist showing by local artist David Seal in the reception area of the Jefferson County Post.
