The Jefferson County Clerk’s office will be expanding their hours of service starting Monday, January 4, 2016, to better accommodate the public. Jefferson County Clerk Frank Herndon announced the the change in hours just prior to the Christmas holiday break, stating that the new extended hours were in answer to requests from citizens that were having trouble making it to the office before close of business. Currently, the hours of operation are M-F 8-4:30pm and 8-11 am on Saturday. The new hours for 2016 will have extended Monday hours until 6pm for all services other than Driver’s License Station, which will be open until 5:30pm on Mondays.
