The Jefferson County High School Lady Patriots faced off against the Seymour Lady Eagles Tuesday night.  The competition proved to be an epic performance from Coach Sinard’s ladies. The game began with a scoring drive with the Lady Patriots pulling ahead quickly and never looking back.  Makaila Woolard led scoring with an on-fire performance, with a total of 20 points for the game, 8 of those being in the third period alone.  Shining from the three point line were Tori Griffin and Ryleigh Fritz, both of who sank three each.  The final score was 58-31, with the Lady Patriots running away with the win.

Between the JCHS boys and girls games, the coaching staff took the time to honor Bobby Gann, a true Patriot for life.  For many years, Gann, who recently passed away, would be at half court at all JCHS Basketball games, and also was in attendance for all JCHS Football games.  A plaque created just for Gann was presented to his family, which included his wife Alberta, son David, and his grandchildren.

The Jefferson County Patriots and the Seymour Eagles also met Tuesday night.  Coach Poore’s boys had a great performance in the 77-54 win. Pulling away quickly, with 24 points in the first period, the Patriots never lost the lead.  The Eagles struggled to perform throughout the game, never closing the gap within 8 points. Grant Scale, who led in points for the evening, had an awesome performance from three point range, sinking five from the beyond the line.  Another strong performer for the evening was Cameron Gregg, who had 16 points, six of which came from beyond the three point line.  Danny Bates and Noah Carter also had very strong performances.

The Jefferson County Patriots and Lady Patriots are gearing up to host the Cocke County Fighting Cocks on Friday, with Junior Varsity action beginning at 4:30.
