MILDRED A. CHAMBERLAIN BARBEE, age 82, of Jefferson City, TN went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Jefferson County Nursing Home. Preceded in death by husband, Lanis Barbee. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. Survived by children, Sherry Carpenter, Darrell Barbee (Susie), and Debbie Estes (John); grandchildren, John Carpenter (Kasey), Matt Carpenter (Jessica), Kristen Loveday (Jeremy), Daniel Estes, (Audre), Justin Hodge, and John Tyler Bates; great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Emery, Conner, Silas, Matthew, James, Cameron, Caroline, Cole, (on the way Collyns), Michaela and Kahlan; sister, Margaret Bridges; brother-in-law, Gerald Barbee; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Katie Pratt. The family gives a special thank you to Jefferson County Nursing Home staff at Rogers Cottage, and Amedysis Hospice. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2016 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Norton, Rev. Scott Cline and Rev. Dennis Caldwell officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain View Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. graveside interment service.
