Bobby Lee Shaw, age 72, of Jefferson City, TN, member of Buffalo Baptist Church of Rutledge, TN, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 at UT Hospital after an extended illness. He spent 17 years as a law enforcement officer with Jefferson City Police Department, former miner with US Steel Corporation, and retired from TVR. Preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Kyle and Irene Shaw of Dandridge, TN. Survived by loving wife of 40 years, Judy Whittaker Shaw; children, Robin Shaw, Christy (Jeremy) Tipton, Keith, Mark and Brad Finley; grandchildren, Jessica Foster, Zack Emory, Victoria, Leslie, Melody Tipton, Christopher and Logan Finley; great grandchildren, Kaylee, Kaycee Foster, Kylie Emory and Kaylynn; brothers, Bill, Don and Stan Shaw. Family will receive friends 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2016. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Shaw officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Farrar Funeral Home to proceed to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Buffalo Baptist Church, 8458 Indian Ridge Road, Rutledge, TN 37861.
