The Jefferson County FCE hosted their annual Quilt Show and Bed Turning Tuesday afternoon at First Baptist Church in Dandridge. The show featured handmade quilts of many different categories from all over the county.

The FCE (Family and Community Education) has been an organized club across the state of Tennessee for over seventy-five years. They currently have 4 Clubs that meet monthly in Jefferson County, and this quilt show was a combined effort of all four clubs. The goal of the FCE is to learn through shared experience, improve home and community life, strengthen adult education, and promote projects that enhance family and community life.

The first category, Old Quilts, a non-judged display, was what was featured in the Bed Turning. To be considered an old quilt, the quilts were to be at least 25 years old. There were many antique quilts featured, including some made at the turn of the century, during World War 2, and as late as the seventies.

There were 18 other categories for participants to enter, which was open to residents of Jefferson County or members of the FCE. There were some categories that did not have an entry.
