Smokies Ballpark Holds Open House

Smokies Stadium kicked off their 2016 baseball season with their annual Fandemonium.  Fans were treated to special previews of all the new changes going on at the stadium for all to enjoy.  Complete with new between inning games, all new snacks, and a new partnership with Knoxville’s Tom and Chi, the 2016 season is all set to begin on Thursday, April 7.

Fans had an opportunity to tour the newly renovated facility, complete with the rebranding of the Tennessee Smokies logo.  Most of the renovations were cosmetic, giving the stadium a fresh, clean look.  Also included on the tour were walk-throughs of the locker room, practice facility, and skyboxes, along with some behind the scenes action that most attendees would not get to see on a normal basis.

The first 500 people who came to the event also got a free field level ticket to Thursday night’s home opener, and were entered for a raffle for free prizes, autographs, meal vouchers, and free merch from the store.

Thursday’s season opener is set to have the Smokies head up against the Mobile BayBears with the first pitch at 7:05 pm.
