Parents and their little ghouls and goblins were treated to a frighteningly good time at Mt. Vale Church of God’s annual trunk or treat event Saturday evening. This is the church’s second time holding the event. Organizers explained that they had to move the location this year due to the overwhelming response of over 3,000 children participating in last year’s trunk-or-treat.

This year the event was held at the fairgrounds in Jefferson City, with nearly 10,000 trick-or-treaters attending. In additional to the aforementioned treats, guests could enjoy live music and food. Several local businesses and churches from across the area partnered with Mt. Vale Church of God for the evening.

Organizers commented that they wanted to pull the community together, no matter denomination or faith. Ultimately, goal was to provide a safe trick-or-treating environment for the kids. Mt. Vale would like to thank the community for their continued support and participation.
