The residents of White Pine came out on Saturday evening to welcome in the Christmas Season with their annual Christmas Parade. As has become tradition, the White Pine Parade began near dusk. Folks lined the streets of the City awaiting the arrival numerous floats and parade participants. Kids were rewarded for their patience with hand fulls of candy that peppered down like snow on the waiting crowd. The White Pine Parade is the first Christmas Parade in Jefferson County and ushers in several weekends filled with Parades across the County. Of course, the highlight of the evening was the arrival of Santa Claus, who came to town with much fanfare. The next parade will be the Jefferson City Christmas Parade on December 10, 2016, followed by the Dandridge Christmas Parade on December 17th and the New Market Christmas Parade on December 18, 2016.
