The Jefferson City community gathered downtown to celebrate the annual Christmas parade. The parade, which is always hosted on the second Saturday in December, was held in the historic Mossy Creek District.

Friends and relatives lined the streets of downtown as they eagerly watched the festivities. The parade featured floats from community businesses, classic cars, church groups, and local vendors who passed out merchandise.

The parade was just the start of the afternoon of fun, as celebrations lasted until 6 p.m. Festivities included an array of live musical entertainment, lots of food, carriage and hay rides, along with the lighting of a Christmas Tree. The evening was capped off with a visit from old Saint Nick. Organizers and community leaders are excited about the growth of this event, and want to see the tradition continue for many generation to come.
