Take Charge of Your Diabetes
Take Charge of Your Diabetes is a fun, skill-building program designed for persons with diabetes. The program helps individuals take day-to-day responsibility for their diabetes care. This program is open to anyone with diabetes and family members, friends and caregivers are welcome for the class. The class will be every Tuesday 10:00-noon at the UT Extension Office. The classes start February 7 through March 14.
Tai Chi
The 8-week program is for people with arthritis to reduce pain and stiffness, help maintain or improve mobility, muscle strength, memory, and balance. Individuals of all ages and mobility levels can benefit from the low impact course. The class will be in Strawberry Plains at the Parrott-Wood Library, 3133 Old AJ Hwy., Strawberry Plains, TN. Classes will be February 7, 14, 28 and March 14, 21, 28.
Walking with Ease
In this walking program, participants meet for 15 sessions. Each meeting session includes a brief discussion of a topic important to successful walking or arthritis management, followed by the group walking session. Walking with Ease will be at the New Market Senior Center, 1611 Depot Street, New Market, and TN. This program is open to people of all ages. The classes will begin at 10:00a.m. every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, March 3-May 5.
Eat Smart; Get Your Family to the Table
These classes encourage healthy eating, food safety and physical activity with an emphasis on resource management. The classes will be in Strawberry Plains at the Parrott-Wood Library, 3133 Old AJ Hwy., Strawberry Plains, TN. Classes will be March 8, 15, 22 from 1:00-3:00 p.m.

Beekeeping
The Jefferson County Beekeepers Association meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. There will be a wide variety of topics on bees each month. The meetings are at the UT Extension office, 1111 Lake Drive, Dandridge TN.
Tree Pruning Workshop
There will be a Tree Pruning Workshop on February 23rd at 10:00 a.m. at the UT Extension Office, 1111 Lake Drive, Dandridge TN.
Tree Grafting Workshop
At this workshop, you will learn how to graft fruit trees. The cost of the workshop is $40.00, but all the participants will leave with six grafted trees. The class will be March 16 at 10:00a.m. at the UT Extension office, 1111 Lake Drive, Dandridge TN 37725.
