White Pine PTO Hosts Craft Fair to Replace Gym Floor

The White Pine School PTO is hosting a craft fair to raise money to replace the 32-year-old concrete gym floor.

On Saturday, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., over 70 vendors will fill White Pine School with crafts, free kid’s activities, Mother’s Day gifts, children’s gifts, home décor, and more. There will also be a basket auction, food trucks on site, and character appearances for photo opportunities with children.

The current concrete gym floor was installed in 1985 and has deteriorated over time. In addition to its poor condition, it is also considered an unsafe surface for the thousands of school children, basketball players, and other sporting events that use the gym every year. At an estimated cost of $75,000-$80,000 the PTO is encouraging everyone to attend the fair to help make the dream of a new White Pine School gym floor a reality.

Please contact Kristin Bartley at (865) 438-7629 to reserve vendor space or for more information. The PTO also welcomes donations of any amount.
