CLYDE OLIVER RILEY

CLYDE OLIVER RILEY, age 84, of Tampa, FL and formerly of East Tennessee passed away on April 20, 2017 at the James Haley Veterans Hospital after a long fight with COPD. Born in Knoxville, TN in 1933, raised in a boys’ home in Mount Olive, TN from age two until he joined the United States Air Force in 1950. Stationed at MacDill Air Force Base in the 809th Police Squadron. He served in Vietnam and many other bases all over the world for over 20 years. After he retired from the USAF, he went to work for the Post Office at Tampa International Airport until he retired in 1991.

A proud 33rd Degree Mason in good standing with the Egypt Temple Shrine, Dad loved to fish and work on cars.

He leaves behind his son, Michael Riley and girlfriend, Dolores Hatch; his daughter, Sandra Kelly, husband, Bill Kelly; two grandchildren, Daniel Kelly and Katie Kelly Keehn, husband, Jon Keehn; a long list of nieces and nephews in Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida. He also had life-long friends, Bill and Joan Lynch, Mrs. Ruby Allshouse.

Dad’s ashes will be returned home to Tennessee and placed with his mother and father. Graveside inurnment services with Military Honors will be held at 11:00am Saturday, April 29,2017 at Piedmont Cemetery, New Market, TN 37820. ARRANGEMENTS BY FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, DANDRIDGE
