ELSIE ROSE THARPE FARMER NICHOLS, age 86, beloved wife of James (Ed) Nichols died on October 7, 2018 at Fort Sanders Medical Center. She was born June 3, 1932 in Powell County, KY to Willie and Martha Tharpe. Survived by husband, James Nichols; step-daughter, Vickie (David) Wilhite; step-grandsons, great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandsons, and many family and friends in Stanton, KY and Knoxville, TN. Burial will be in Tharpe Cemetery in Stanton, KY.
