Senator Frank Niceley 2019 Senate Legislator of the Year

State Senator Frank Niceley (R-Strawberry Plains) was recently named the “2019 Senate Legislator of the Year” by the County Officials Association of Tennessee (COAT). COAT is a is a non-profit association of county clerks, state court clerks, registers of deeds, and trustees which advocate for elected officials and their constituents from all Tennessee counties.

“Senator Nicely has been a true advocate for local governments during his tenure in both the Senate and House of Representatives,” said Rodney Archer, Executive Director of COAT. “We are pleased to recognize him as our outstanding legislator this year for demonstrating leadership and dedication to his community.”

“I truly appreciate this honor,” commented Niceley. “COAT is a tremendous organization which represents Tennesseans from all corners of the state. I look forward to continuing to work with them to ensure that government, at all levels, runs efficiently and effectively.”

Senator Niceley is the 1st Vice-Chairman of the Senate Energy, Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee and 2nd Vice-Chairman of the Senate Transportation Committee. He also serves on the Senate Commerce, Labor and Agriculture Committee.
