The Historic Town Square in Dandridge has a new business to celebrate. Luna’s Farmhouse had their grand opening and ribbon cutting on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, located at the corner of Meeting Street and Gay Street in the Historic Thomas Tavern building. Luna’s will offer beautiful handcrafted furniture, décor and gift selections.
The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by community members, local business owners and elected officials as well as it’s namesake, Luna Mayea (The 3 ½ year old daughter of owners Aly and Ralph Mayea.) The Mayea’s have done extensive work throughout the interior of the historic tavern while keeping in mind it’s origins. The small family owned business has embraced the heritage of both the community and the tavern with a large mural of Martha Dandridge Washington that adorns the wall adjacent to the tavern’s staircase.
