Hello Darlings, this is one of the most romantic true stories, and one simply must share the passion and beauty of a dream that turned into reality for a couple in love.

So, I shall begin with “Once upon a Time” …Yolanda and  Lamont Reed  first met about eleven ago,  there was an instant attraction at first sight and the next several years their relationship went through a myriad  of changes….together then apart … but always a lasting  love lingerers in their hearts for each other.

As time often does, it teaches one a lesson about what is really important for a happy life and how to treasure and appreciate love.   With lessons learned fate brought them together again with more devotion and passion than ever.  Both knew their love was forever this time.

As most men will share, if they are honest, even with the greatest love, getting the words for proposal of marriage out of their mouth is a very difficult thing for them. Even Prince William commented to the media in essence, all men know how hard it is to pop the question, it takes a lot of thought.

Lamont had spent a lot of time thinking about marriage but would get cold feet, even as much as he loved Yolanda.   One evening he was simply walking through the house and it hit him like a bolt of lightening, the realization this was right, really right, he was going to ask for his lady’s hand in marriage …fast!

He discovered Yolanda was in her toilette, a bubbly warm bath, he could not wait, he burst thought the door slid to one knee and asked her to marry him.   Surprised, to say the least, Yolanda was speechless by the unexpected romantic of all romantic times taking place in the bathroom.  To this day she laughs about the way he asked her the most wanted question, “Will you marry me?”

They had dreamed about being married in the city of lights, beautiful romantic Paris, France, someday.

Now the time had come for wedding plans, the dream to become a reality. Yolanda immediately began the research of requirements for a marriage in Paris, France.  Much to her dismay, she discovered a forty day residence in France or a two year long marriage already existing was required by French law.

Nothing was going to stop their ‘Fairy Tale” wedding, IT WAS GOING TO BE, just a slight detour to the tag department in Morristown, Tennessee to be wed legally and a two year wait required by the French law.

During this wait, Yolanda researched every perfect detail for the wedding. She discovered the American Church in Paris, really a splendid cathedral with the most beautiful architectural details. The date was set and reservations made for the wedding to take place in this cathedral with stained glass windows and arches of splendor. When they arrived in Paris, the church was the first destination to make final arrangements for their ceremony.  Yolanda said the most Holy Spirit reigned in the church and such a feeling of peace came to them upon entering this House of the Lord, One could almost feel the brush of angel wings.

Pearls and tiny sequins adorned her dress, constructed of  duchess satin in ivory,  designed by Oleg Cassini ,with a strapless bodice totally encrusted with pearls that graduated  into a point at the waist ,met the bell shaped duchess satin  chapel length  gown   Pearls and  sequins surrounding  the complete bottom of the  breath taking elegant beauty of the hem line , designed into  scallops  twelve inches  wide on the duchess satin. A Vera Wang cathedral length veil of sheer silk illusion adorned with the most delicate handmade French lace framing the total length, created an ethereal vision of the bride walking down the long aisle.

..Her groom was  waiting at the alters , handsome as a prince , attired in a custom made tuxedo very understated with a corn flower blue vest, and tie/  His elegance captured her heart once again and she felt her spirit swell with love for him.

Lamont had told his bride he wanted her to become his wife in the House of the Lord. When he saw her walking toward him all he could think was ‘My God, My God, thank you for my woman…” So as the organ with pipes that almost reached the ceiling of the cathedral created a sound like music from heaven, she took his hand to become his wife.

—AND SO THEY WED, but little did they realize what was yet to be. Paris was alive with thousands of people visiting the city during the Christmas Holiday Season .Their photographer, Jacques Mateos whom has photographed for  Brides Magazine, was escorting the couple to the well know sites in Paris for wedding pictures,

When they arrived at the world famous Eiffel Tower a throng of thousands were in lines or milling about, the photographer simply pushed his way through, excusing the haste because of the bride and groom.

Instant cheers and shouts of congratulation rang through the whole crowd. The tourists began to take pictures of the bride and groom near the Eiffel Tower as it made such a romantic shot.   The newlyweds were amazed by the adoration of the crowds. The very same thing happened at the Louver.  Almost a thousand people gathered around the bride and groom, taking photo and cheering,

It was truly an overwhelming gift from the people, one they will never forget and treasure. They also did something almost no one else has experienced, they danced barefoot in the Louver, while photos were being snapped.  Yolanda’s ivory lace, Prada heels, just had to be slipped off for a minute ….while they danced to the beat of their hearts.

…And they are living happily ever after…
