Jefferson County Recognizes April 26 As National Drug Endangered Children Awareness Day

The National Drug Endangered Children program with the TBI is a part of Rescue 180 preventive / intervention programs for Jefferson County, children who need a community to surround them with care. Today Mayor Mark Potts signed a proclamation to make Jefferson County a community that recognizes April 26th as National Drug Endangered Children Awareness Day. “We want the families of Jefferson County, that are dealing with addiction, to know there is hope! ” shares Rev. Debra Shultz, Executive Director Of Rescue 180. ” “We are here to educate and collaborate with other prevention efforts in Jefferson County to change and save lives” added Rescue 180’s Drug Endangered Children Coordinator, Rebekka Whaley.
