Shop With A Cop: A Heartwarming Cause

“Shop With A Cop” is a program dedicated to making the holiday season brighter for underprivileged children. Organized by the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #61, this initiative allows children to shop for gifts alongside police officers, fostering positive relationships between law enforcement and the community while ensuring that every child experiences the joy of Christmas.

The Dandridge Reindeer Run aimed to contribute to this noble cause, and the community rallied together to make a significant impact.

Community Support Shines Bright

Despite the questionable weather, participants and sponsors alike braved the elements to make the event a resounding success. The amount raised for “Shop With A Cop” reached an impressive $1405, a testament to the generosity and compassion of the Dandridge community.

Several local businesses played a crucial role in making the event a success. Perkins Restaurant, Lakeway Real Estate, More Than Plants, Volunteer Spirits, and NATSN North American Truck Stop Network generously sponsored the run, showcasing the community’s commitment to giving back.

Fueling the Runners: A Special Thanks to David Seal and Sponsors

As the runners and walkers navigated the streets adorned with festive decorations, they were fueled by the energy of the season and the support of the community. Refreshments for the participants were provided by David Seal, Chairman of the Jefferson County Republican Party, adding an extra touch of warmth to the event.

The collaboration between local businesses, community leaders, and individuals exemplified the true spirit of Christmas – coming together to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
