Jefferson County Schools (JCS) in Tennessee is requesting Qualifications (RFQ) for Architectural & Engineering (A/E) services for an addition to Talbot Elementary School. JCS intends to enter into a design agreement with a qualified firm experienced in delivering similar projects for municipalities, schools, or other government entities. A/E services shall include, but are not limited to, program verification, schematic design, design development, construction documents, cost estimating, permiting, bidding support, contract documents, construction administration and project closeout. The firm shall serve as lead for all relevant design disciplines (architecture, civil engineering, structural engineering, MEP engineering, data/communications engineering, interior design) and coordinate additional services as needed (surveying, geotechnical, material testing, special inspections, acoustical design, athletic equipment, kitchen equipment, furnishings, security, etc.). Please send sealed RFQs to the attention of Julie Anglea, Purchasing Agent clearly labeled “A/E Services JCS” by mail to P.O. Box 1749 Dandridge, TN 37725 or hand delivered at 1244 Gay St. Dandridge, TN 37725. All RFQ’s must be received by February 28, 2024, by 2pm ET, at which time RFQs will be opened in the Finance Dept. Once the Board selects a qualified A/E for services, the Director of Schools will work with the agency on a proposal and contract to provide the scope of work to JCS. Jefferson County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all RFQ’s and to waive any and all irregularities in the receipt/handling of RFQs. The qualified A/E company must be in good standing with Jefferson County. Jefferson County assures that no person shall on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex, as provided by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and as amended, and the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987 (P.I. 100.259) be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal Financial Assistance from the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT).
