PUBLIC NOTICE – Jefferson County Government Offices Closed Due to Inclement Weather

Jefferson County, TN – Due to severe weather conditions and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of the public and county employees, all Jefferson County Government offices will be closed on Friday, September 27, 2024.
Mayor Mark Potts has made the decision to close offices in response to the ongoing inclement weather, prioritizing the well-being of residents and staff.
“The safety of our citizens and employees is our top priority,” said Mayor Potts. “We urge everyone to stay safe and avoid unnecessary travel during this period of hazardous weather.”
The closure includes all government services, with the exception of essential emergency services, which will remain operational.
For emergencies, please contact 911. We encourage all residents to monitor weather reports and follow safety guidelines issued by local authorities.
