Oaths of Office Administered for Dandridge Officials

DANDRIDGE, Tenn. — The Town of Dandridge marked a significant moment on December 2, 2024, as newly elected and re-elected officials took their oaths of office. The ceremony was held in the historic Town Hall, attended by community members, family, and friends eager to witness the formal swearing-in of their town leaders.

Alderman George Gantte, Alderman Jessica Elder Chambers, Alderman Ellen Longmire, and Mayor Mike Chambers were officially sworn into office during the event. Presiding over the ceremony was Judge James L. Gass, 4th Judicial District Circuit Court Judge, who administered the oaths.

Mayor Mike Chambers expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve and highlighted his vision for the continued progress of Dandridge. “I am deeply honored to serve this wonderful town and look forward to working collaboratively with our Board of Aldermen to ensure a prosperous future for all our residents,” Chambers stated.

Alderman George Gantte (previously Mayor) and Alderman Jessica Elder Chambers (previously Alderman), reaffirmed their dedication to representing the town’s residents with integrity and purpose. Joining them was Alderman Ellen Longmire, who began her firsts term as Alderman.

The ceremony marked not just the beginning of new terms but also the continuation of Dandridge’s legacy as Tennessee’s second oldest town. Residents expressed optimism about the collaborative efforts between the mayor, aldermen, and town officials as they work toward shared goals for progress, preservation, and prosperity.
