HOMECOMING COURT RAISES FUNDS FOR ANIMAL SHELTER

Ladies of the 2012 Jefferson County Homecoming Courts recently hosted a Royal Luncheon to benefit the Humane Society of Jefferson County. The luncheon was held at the Baneberry Community Center on Dec 1, 2012. The ladies sold tickets to the luncheon and collected canned food for the shelter. Attendees enjoyed a catered lunch, petite auction and door prizes. Over $600 was raised for the rescue transport and spay/neuter assistance programs. Layrn Proffit was crowned Miss Royalty for top ticket sales.

Thank you to the young ladies who participated: Azlinn Alder, 2011 Jefferson County Fairest of the Fair, and JCHS Senior Representative; Layrn Proffit and Emily Yow representing JCHS Sophomore Class, Haley Seale representing Jefferson Middle 6th grade, Makayla Wright representing Jefferson Middle 7th grade, Kayleigh Roberts representing Rush Strong 7th grade.
