“Tech Help Thursdays 2:00 pm-4:00 pm”. Parrott-Wood Memorial Library (3133 W. Old A.J. Hwy., Strawberry Plains, TN) is happy to announce Basic Technology Classes. They will have someone available to help with your phone, tablet, or laptop. They can assist with setting up accounts, basic email functions, customizing features on your phone, printing files, editing documents, etc. They can also, help you get started using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Class Schedule

Sept. 11 – We will cover how to customize features on your phone or tablet. Learn Basic email functions.

Sept. 25 – Staying safe on the internet. Tips for finding information online.

Oct. 2 – Setting up accounts on your computer or phone.

Oct. 23 – Getting Started Using Microsoft Word Part 1

Oct. 30 – Getting Started Using Microsoft Word Part 2

Nov. 6 – Getting Started Using Microsoft PowerPoint Part 1

Nov. 13 – Getting Started Using Microsoft PowerPoint Part 2

Nov 20 – Getting Started Using Excel Part 1

Dec. 4 – – Getting Started Using Excel Part 2

These classes are made possible by a $3,000.00 Training Opportunities for the Public (TOP) Grant through the Tennessee State Library and Archives. Director Donna Phillips is so pleased to have been awarded this wonderful grant. She stated the library will be providing classes to the young and the old.
