Tina Rich Announces Candidacy for Jefferson County Trustee

Tina Rich

My name is Tina Rich, and I am seeking your vote to serve as the next Jefferson County Trustee.

I was born and raised in Jonesborough, Tennessee, and have been proud to call Jefferson County home for more than 40 years. I am a graduate of Carson-Newman University, where I earned a degree in Business Management with a minor in Accounting.  For the past two decades, I have worked at Carson-Newman University, including 19 years in the Financial Aid Office. I currently serve as Director of Financial Aid, overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and helping administer more than $20 million in federal and state aid each year.

My commitment to service extends beyond my professional work. I have volunteered with local schools, youth sports programs, Jefferson County 4-H, and have served as a Volunteer Hunter Education Instructor for 35 years. Throughout my career and community involvement, I have been guided by principles of service, accountability, and fiscal responsibility.

I am married to Wayne Rich, and together we have three sons—Wesley (Katie), Chase (Abby), and Hunter (Samantha)—and three granddaughters: Finley, Madi, and Reagan.

I am running for Jefferson County Trustee to put my experience in financial oversight, transparency, and public service to work for the residents of our county.

I would be honored to earn your support and your vote.

Sincerely
Tina Rich
