INVITATION TO BID
The Jefferson County (JC) Purchasing Department will be accepting sealed bids for the “Mossy Creek Wildlife Viewing Area Observation Deck Replacement.” A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on March 5, 2026, at 10am ET at the Mossy Creek Viewing Area located at 901 W. Cherokee Dr. Jefferson City, TN 37760. Sealed bids should be labeled “Mossy Creek Wildlife Viewing Area Observation Deck Replacement “and either mailed to the Jefferson County Finance Department to the attention of Purchasing Agent Julie Anglea, at P.O. Box 1749, Dandridge, TN, 37725, or dropped off at 1244 Gay St., Dandridge, TN, 37725. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. ET, Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at which time bids will be opened in the Finance Department conference room. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of a Cashier’s Check or a Bidders Bond in the sum of no less than (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Bid bond shall be executed on AIA Document A310. Said bond will be returned to unsuccessful bidders as soon as contract has been awarded and successful bidder has executed the contract and furnished necessary bonds. The successful bidder may be required to execute a performance bond in an amount equal to (100%) of the contract sum and a payment bond covering and including labor and materials in an amount equal to (100%) of the contract sum if awarded bid exceeds $100,000.00. Labor and Material Payment Bonds shall be on AIA Form A312. All bidders must be licensed contractors as required by the contractors Licensing Act of 1976 (TCA §62-6-119).
