Jefferson City Public Library August 2026 Schedule

JCPL will be closed August 6th for Election Day.

Storytime Tuesdays, 10:30 – Homeschool Academy, join us for special guest speakers and programs to enrich your child’s learning experiences. Wednesdays, 10:30 am – Storytime, Go! Join us for stories, songs, and crafts designed to promote children’s early literacy skills. Geared towards children 3-5.

Thursdays, 10:30 am – Little Listeners, A story time for babies and toddlers to enjoy songs, books, and rhymes with their caregiver. Geared towards children under 36 months.

Adult Events Tuesday, August 4th, (1st Tuesdays) 4:30 pm – Book Social for Adults. Read whatever you like, bring a friend and a book to swap! Tuesday, August 18th, (3rd Tuesdays) 4:00 pm – Adult Mixed Media Art/Craft, class size limited, preregistration required..

Kids and Tweens Events Thursday, August 20th, (3rd Thursdays) 4:00 – 5:30 pm – Lego Builders Club.

Tweens and Teens, Monday, August 24th, 4 – 5:30 pm, Anime Club, is back! Come and experience all things anime!

For Teens and Up No Rock Painting in August, will resume Second Tuesday in September. Wednesdays – 3 pm – Watercolor Club, bring your own supplies and get creative! Fridays – 3:30 pm. Scribble Society, Geared for teens to adults. Bring your work in progress!

Saturdays, 11:00 am, Poetry Perspectives, join us as we read published poems and share and discuss our own works. For mature teens and adults.

All Ages Saturday, August 1st, Local Author Donna Faye Nicely will be here to promote her book, The Lost Boy. Wednesday, August 12th, 4-6 pm, Movie Night @
