League Of Women Voters Meeting, March 12, 2013, 7pm
The League of Women Voters of Jefferson County will hold its monthly program on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, 7:00 p.m., at the Appalachian Electric Cooperative, 1109 Hill Street, New Market. In keeping with the League’s theme of addressing campaign finance matters, Dr.Kara Stooksbury from Carson Newman’s Political Science Department will be speaking on the impact Political Action Committees (PACs) have on campaign finance and consequently their impact on our elections.
League members and the community at large are invited to attend. The League’s regular meeting schedule is the second Tuesday of the month. The League of Women Voters is nonpartisan and welcomes new members, men and women alike. Meetings and programs are open to the public.
