Red Cross to hold recruitment meeting for disaster volunteers

American Red Cross logoThe American Red Cross will offer its Shelter Operations course on Saturday, March 16 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Shady Grove United Methodist Church, 1675 Harold Patterson Road, Dandridge, TN.The public is invited to attend and learn how to become involved in the continuing Red Cross volunteer efforts in the local community.  Red Cross Disaster Action Team (DAT) members are trained to help their neighbors by responding to fire calls, learning to operate a community shelter when people are displaced from their homes and more.
