Safe Harbor held their fifth annual Red Wagon Parade and a Fun Run on Saturday afternoon at the Maury Middle School Track. This was the first year for the two mile Fun Run and around thirty runners and ten walkers participated in the event that served as a fundraiser for the Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center. Approximately $500 was raised from sponsorships and registration fees at the event. Third through fifth graders who are a part of the Roadrunner’s Club, which is lead by Dandridge Elementary School Physical Education Teacher Jan Chrisman, accounted for several of the runners in Saturday’s event. At the completion of the two mile run, runners were greeted by the Chik- Fil- A Cow at the finish line. Booths were set up to offer information on Child Safety and several mascots were on hand to meet the kids. Placing first overall in the Fun Run was Jordan Foli-First in Women’s Division was Andra Cureton-Hutchins and First in Girl’s Division was Ella Pulliam.
