Jefferson County Proclaims April Child Abuse Prevention Month

In recognition of April being Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month, Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center officially launched their local One with Courage campaign for Jefferson County. The One with Courage campaign is an effort to rally the citizens across the 4th judicial district which Safe Harbor serves to combat the secrecy that enables child sexual abuse to continue to occur in our communities by talking openly about it as we work toward eradicating it. 

Jefferson County’s Director of Facilities and Safety, David Longmire, on behalf of Jefferson County Mayor Alan Palmieri, joined Donna Koester, Safe Harbor’s Executive Director, 4th Judicial District Attorney General, the Honorable Jimmy Dunn, and other supporters in conducting a Public Proclamation Ceremony and raising of the American flag on April 15, 2013 in Dandridge, Tennessee.
