Perez brings home all-conference second team honors

Carson-Newman men’s tennis’ Juan Sebastian Perez has been lauded by the South Atlantic Conference as a second team All-SAC selection.

Perez is C-N men’s tennis’ first all-conference selection since Trent Slagle made the second team in 2011.

Perez, a freshman, went 8-10 in singles this year, including three wins in a row over Covenant, North Greenville and Lenoir-Rhyne.

He finished 4-5 in SAC play. Perez was 2-1 in matches that were extended to a third set tiebreaker.

Perez’s selection to the all-conference team brings Carson-Newman up to 34 all-SAC selections all-time, fourth among active schools in the league.
