The Jefferson County Patriots Varsity Softball Team had a run away victory Tuesday against Cherokee High School recording a score of 4-0. Randi Hill the Lady Patriots starting pitcher will never forget that night after pitching a perfect game against Cherokee. Only having one other perfect game in 2012. Her no runs, no hits, and no walks game helped the Lady Patriots run away with this win against Cherokee. Holli Roderick of the Lady Patriots recorded two RBI’s along with Trish Workman and Leslie Odom also, with the Lady Patriots each recording an RBI apiece. The Lady Patriots are losing eight of their seniors this year and their season is turning out to be a nicely played spring with a 13-9 record, only losing 3 at home. Their game next week against Cocke County is shaping up to be a tough fought game between the two teams. This thursday night will also be Jefferson Counties Senior Night where the schools Spring season athletes will be recognized for their personal and teams accomplishments. So come out and cheer our Patriots on to another run away victory against the “Fighting Cockes” of Cocke County.
