Spring has barely started, and already the boys of Fall are busy preparing for the 2013 Patriot football season. A recent tri location car wash brought in $1,127 in donations and they will participate in their annual Lift-A-Thon on April 25 at the Jefferson County High School Football Stadium. Team members and the JCHS Sideline Club are taking donations for the event. The Sideline Club is also offering businesses or individuals the opportunity to purchase advertising signs that will be displayed in the stadium throughout the season. All the proceeds from various fund raisers go to support team members and the growing Patriot football program. Pre game meals, equipment and improved facilities are all funded by patron donations. The 2012 Patriot football season was the best in a decade and the players and coaches have been hard at work preparing to make the 2013 season even better. Players have been conditioning off season and anticipate an exciting and successful football season. JCHS Head Football Coach Cobble recently expressed his appreciation of the support and partnership of Patriot fans, as they work toward the primary goal of the program, which is to develop character that will translate into good community and family members.
