Are you a wannabe babysitter?

Learn what it takes to be a babysitter by attending the Babysitting R.O.C.K.S. training program for kids ages 12 and up. This fun, activity filled training will focus on different aspects of babysitting- from learning what activities to do with children of any age to knowing what to do with the money that you earn. Other topics covered include: child development, soothing a crying baby, handling child-related emergencies, first aid and safety for infants and toddlers, how to diaper, age-appropriate nutrition, and encouraging normal sleep patterns.

Babysitting R.O.C.K.S. will be from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 20th at the UT Extension-Jefferson County Office located at 1111 Lake Drive in Dandridge. The class is limited and pre-registration is required. The cost is $20 and will include a Babysitting R.O.C.K.S. handbook for participants to keep as well as lunch!
