Chick-fil-A Announces Future Carson-Newman Univsersity Campus Location

Students at Carson-Newman University
and members of the Jefferson City community will be able to “Eat More
Chicken” when a new Chick-fil-A(r) restaurant opens on campus later this
summer inside the Maddox Student Activities Center.
Construction began May 27 on the new location inside the activities center
at 2130 Banner Avenue in Jefferson City. The grand opening is currently
projected for mid-August. The campus addition comes after a collaborative
effort between Carson-Newman and Aramark, which provides food services for
the University.

“Since students first heard about Chick-fil-A coming to campus, there has
been tremendous excitement,” said Martha Chambers, chief financial officer
for Carson-Newman University. “While we certainly think our students are
going to love having Chick-fil-A on campus, we also look forward to having
the Jefferson County community join us as we all ‘eat more chicken.'”

The new Chick-fil-A location will serve a selection of Chick-fil-A’s freshly
prepared menu items including its signature hand-crafted Chick-fil-A
sandwich, and will be open both to students and the public. Currently the
closest Chick-fil-A restaurant is in Morristown.
Chick-fil-A(r) is the largest quick-service chicken restaurant chain in the
United States with more than 1,820 locations in 39 states and annual sales
of more than $5 billion. The chain has almost 260 licensed locations,
including 213 outlets on college and university campuses, as well as inside
business complexes and airports. The new Chick-fil-A on the Carson-Newman
University campus will become the chain’s 13th college location in
Tennessee.
